will this really raise bhp or not ???

How to go faster, stop quicker, and turn harder. Chips, exhaust, larger turbos, bigger/slotted/drilled rotors, high performance brake pads, manual boost controllers, performance shocks/struts/springs, airbox mods and more! Also discussion on HID and Xenon lights, aftermarket foglights and other exterior lighting.

It'll give you plenty of fun until one of two things happens:
-The ECU decides to stop your fun.
-You break something.

300bhp is very unlikely by doing nothing but blocking the wastegate.
It's also not anywhere near the safest way to increase power. It will work (in a fashion), but it will put undue wear on the turbo, and you run the risk of detonation and preignition, which equals engine death.

My cousin had a 2003 WRX that got stolen. The theives put a vicegrip on the actuator for the waste gate. This caused the car to have constant full boost. When the car was recovered it was sent to the factory for repairs where they had to replace the turbo and both the catilitic converters in the up pipe and the down pipe because they were destroyed. The thieves only had the car for 3 weeks.
