2006 S60 removing climate control panel in passenger compart
2006 S60 removing climate control panel in passenger compart
I need to access the AC temp sensor in the passenger compartment on my 2006 S60 sedan. How do I remove the plastic cover? Does it just snap out? I'm obviously concerned about breaking it or damaging the surrounding interior trim. What kind of tool do you recommend?

The 05-07 s60 and V70/XC70 have a little difference in how the climate/radio set comes out.
You pull up the panel around the gear lever and you will see two TX25 screws below the lower set of switches in the area uncovered by removing the panel surrounding the gear lever. Remove those and the whole radio and climate set drops a 1/2 inch or so and you pull the whole thing out a bit and disconnect the connectors.
Remove ground for battery first or you risk a ton of codes or worse. The climate control assy and the radio will come out of the plastic carrier. The temp sensor removes from rear of the climate control unit.
