Problems with BlueTooth on 2011 XC70

Post by PedroTheLion »

Hello, my family owns two cellular phones, one a BlackBerry Curve, the other a Samsung Fascinate. Both are BlueTooth enabled, however, only the BlackBerry is able to "connect" to the car's built-in BlueTooth.

For some reason, the car's system will "recognize" the Fascinate -- as will the Fascinate. In fact, the Fascinate says it "is paired" with the car, but I've been unable to connect.

The error message in the car says "unable to connect to phone. Please make sure your phone has its BlueTooth enabled."

I tried for about an hour to no avail. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance --

is the phone connecting to headset or other bluetooth device and blocking the car's connection?

I thought that may have been the problem, so I turned the BlackBerry off, but to no avail. There is no other headset or BlueTooth device that may have been interfering.
