V40 IMMOBILISER PROBLEM

Post by SteveBpb »

Hello,

Can anyone help. I have replaced a clutch in a V40 and disconnected the battery to do so. Now when I try and start the car a clicking noise comes from the engine and a red light flashes on the P/S speaker and the engine wont start. I think its the immobiliser kicking in. I have tried locking and unlocking the car with the remote 5 times and turing the key 3 times to try and reprogramme it but this hasnt worked. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Steven

Hi Volvodoc,

Thanks for your reply. We've checked and tightened all the ground cables and they all seem ok. Connected the starter ground to the engine just to be sure.
