Getting a code for the front knock sensor on a 94 850 not sure where it is or how to replace. Reset code and check engine light did not come on for 2 days. Do I need to replace it and how?

thanks

There are two knock sensors under the intake manifold. To access them requires removal of the fuel rail and manifold.

This problem is usually caused by the wiring harness going bad. Volvo brought out a replacement kit with new upgraded harness to correct this.

Might as well change the PCV box and hoses while the manifold is off...
