engine HP potential

Post by CFD race team »

I have a 1988 740 gle automatic with 68,000 miles on it. i will eventually be installing a 1996 4.6L northstar.
the car was parked 8 years ago, the owner thought it had blown timeing belt ,but the belt was ok. the #4 intake valve is black all others are nice and brown. I suspect a bad injector + fuel pump. I am concidering road racing the car with the 2.3L block while the northstar parts and electronic headaches are solved.
I would like to know if I can run a 4 valve head with a turbo on the ( 9.3 -1 ? ) compression pistons.
What might be my HP & torque #,s ? p.s. where might i find a 4 valve head for sale, cheep. I will convert to a manual trans. thanks mike.

This is the wrong forum IMO to get info on this. try Turbobricks here http://forums.turbobricks.com/index.php ... de7143d3e0
Some of the guys over there are getting big numbers with the 16 Valve head on a redblock. Heck there are several over there pulling 500 + on the dyno with the 8 vale heads!!
