Can someone give me some direction/ideas as to why the drivers side ,front door on my 1998 S70GLT won't open when using the outside door handle ? Please .The inside door release works fine .Thanks in advance .

You have to take the door panel apart, the rod came off
Sometime they fall out and sometimes they break off the actualtor, if that's the case you will need a new or used door lock assy.

keep going .. you have to remove the torx bolts which are 90 degrees from the door handle where the latch is located... this should free up the handle so you can peek inside.

The bolts holding the lock to the door ?and or the bolts under the plastic cover hiding the door handle mount bolts ? I got this far ,but when I start to move the handle it feels like its still attached in there somewhere .I'll look further into it tomorrow ,wether permitting .Thanks
