S40 problems

My S40 currently vibrates underneath during acceleration due to a damaged converter.

Sometimes when you attempt accelerate, the car slows down awhile before picking up but with a lot of noise. mileage is currently about 191,000 km. is that the end of the road?

The dealer changed the water pump but water still gets reduced. what might be the problem?

Seems like you might have two problems, acceleration and a coolant leak.

Have you changed spark plugs, air filter, oil... regular tune up items? Also, if you know what a mass airflow sensor is, have you checked that?

As for the coolant leak, do you know from where it's leaking out of the system?

I am car is to go for routine oil, spark plugs, air filter etc change this weekend and I shall let you have a feedback. Th only difficulty may be changing the mass airflow sensor if it is bad. That may have to be ordered.

So grateful and we shall check out for the coolant leakage.
