1999 V70 XC automatic gearbox fualt

My V70 1999 has a automatic gearbox problem. Ii has only 53000miles.I kinda felt the transmission wasn't shifting right while I was driving for about 4-5 month, today when I was driving the arrow light and check engine light which located under RPM gauge came on. But I could still be able to dri

ve home. what cause this fault? anyone know? Is this just an electrical problem? will this cost alot to fix it? Still feel transmission shifting is not normal. I just afraid to go to dealer. They always charge way more than I expect.

Check your transmission fluid (how to in owners manual). If it's brown or burnt smelling you should change it.

You likely need a new transmission position sensor (at best), a tranny at worst
