2003 S80 won't start

Post by TonyF »

Hello, my daughter bought this 2003 S80 T6 199,000 miles twin turbo and used it for about a year, then she cracked the radiator and it got hot. She had the radiator fixed the car wouldn't run right then it wouldn't start. She said she was going to send it to the junkyard for scrap. I paid her $250.00 for the car and have been trying to diagnose the problem of it not starting. The battery was completely dead when i picked the car up. It has fuel at the fuel rail but don't know the pressure, pulled sparkplug out and it has spark, and I checked the compression pressure- cylinders 1,2,4,5, and 6 have 120pisg and cylinder 3 has between 110-115 psig. The car will turn over but not try to even start.
Is there some anti-theft that might be happening due to the battery being completely dead? Used OBD II code reader and the only codes that were on it was trans incorrect gear. Reset the codes and the only codes now are to be cleared when the engine is running. Please help with any advice and Thank You for your time.

Did the car ever run under its own power after the radiator fix?

Yes, she was driving it and she said that it started not running right and then was hard to start. Does anybody know what the cylinder pressure should be. I loooked at the post from other people and seen the immobilizer post, tried locking and unlocking door the 5 times it said from inside of the car but still no success.

pulled intake hose off and squirted a little starting fluid in the intake hose and car started, so problem lies in the filter or the fuel pump not delivering the correct pressure. Thank You for your help.
