seat stuck in recline

My drivers seat is stuck all the way back. I am trying to find out if anyone has had problems with this, and if so how did you fix it?
I have a 94 850 turbo wagon.

Yo mama!! Ghetto indeed! I'm so cheap I've taken the seat out of the car 3 times (pretty easy actually) to take the back off the seat to get to the recliner gear box (requires opening up the retaining metal rings holding the leather on that I never put back) in the bottom of the seat back to take apart and to move the seat back manually to the upright position and putting gearbox back together (2 or 3 phillips screws), yet I didn't want to spend the 50 bucks for the new cable and rip apart the seat more to install it. I finally got smart though and put duct tape over the seat switching so others can't accidentally put it back "just a bit" 'cause you can never go back the other way. Only side benefit has been "better posture" while in the car!!!! To me it should have always been a recall and free fix, just like the defective glovebox latch and ETM module should be. Let us know how easy it is to replace if he does it himself.
