drip under brake pedal

I belong over the V70 forum...but I'm troubleshooting my siter-in-laws XC90. It's a 2007 T6 and she called me last week about a drip under the brake peddle. She cleaned it before I can examine it and it has not reappeared but she showed me the stain it left on the rubber matts. More then few drips.

Put my hand up under the dash, felt the peddle where the plunger heads for the booster and nothing more then the Vaseline like grease often found on the pivots in the area. No fluid on the facade tray under there either.

Is there any failure trend with the booster or plunger seals on the XC90? She has aout 60K miles and I noted it has the DSTC (maybe the all have it).

Any comments would be appreciated.

and I do realize I just spelled "peddle" instead of "pedal" one to many times...not sure where that brain fart came from!

the booster is vaccum so it can't be P/S fluid.
The amount of fluid needed for a master cylinder leak to fill the booster and run out the back would be very noticeable.
I would chalk it up to too liberal application of the assembly grease.

Thanks...since I didn't see the fluid I suggested the same. When I felt up the pedal you could find the grease alright!
