I had my mechanic fix the timing advanced thing and he did and reset the check engine light. Seems to be fixed...but after running 150 miles the light came back again... Now should change the Cat as well? I spent 300$ to get the timing fixed... now on the edge to spend more for the CAT... Please suggest me....sri_gondi wrote:I happen to get the error codes for the Check Engine Light... One of them was P0014 and the other was P0422.
P0422 - Main TWC Efficiency Bank 1 Below Threshold.
P0014 - "B" Camshaft Position - Timing Over - Advanced or System Performance Bank 1.
The mechanic says the 0422 is cat... I am skeptical about that....
Any suggestions....
Update!!!!
I went to Swedish Imports in fairfax,VA and went to veteran mechanic who really had very good knowledge about Volvo he plugged in the device which had Volvo software and told me immideately that both error codes nothing to be fixed at the moment as one of them is about life of the CAT and the other was about some clutch is allright for VVT.So finally happy and not to worry about the check engine light...
