transmission swap

Hello I have a 99 s80 turbo car. Of course like all s80's they develop transmission problems. I need to know if a transmission out of a 2000 s80 non turbo car will work. Any information would be appreciated thanks.

To the best of my knowledge, they are the same transmission but a tranny shop should be able to confirm that or the local experts here can correct me....the only thing which might be different is whether they are all the -GT versions i.e. gear tronic for 'manual' shifting...

No, turbo and non-turbo have different final drive ratios and codes will set.

Thanks for the input I guess either I'll find a do or car or get tranny rebuilt. I've never been a Volvo enthusiast but the bug has bit me and I absolutely love this car and am looking for an suv for myself or wife In the near future
