Hazard button

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Hazard button

Post by s80austin »

Ok, please don't laugh.
I purchased a 2010 S80 a couple of days ago and the hazard button is backlit red. It's not flashing, nor are the hazard lights on. Is this button supposed to be lit or should it be dark until engaged?

Thanks for your help.

Probably backlit so it is easy to find and readily available to depress.

S80austin,
I've been driving my "new" S80 T6 AWD for a year this month. The hazard button is backlit day and night. It makes it easier to find quickly.
I drive to work using the HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lanes from Woodbridge, VA to DC. Since I have room for three riders, I usually carry three. As a courtesy to vehicles following behind me, I use my hazard flashers to let them know that I'm about to stop to let my passengers out. I can easily reach for and find the button because of the backlighting.

Enjoy your new car!!
