1998 V70 AWD starting problem

Post by Jimbo »

This problem has happened twice now in the last month. Having starting and driven for a while and then stopped the car refuses to start unless you depress the throttle peddle slightly, and then just dies if you lift off the throttle. Turns over fine but does not catch even slightly if the throttle is closed. This problem then dissapears and start and drives fine for weeks.

Any comments welcome.

Volvo just fitted antennae ring ( plastic surround of the ignition switch ) it contains a link to the key and the immobiliser. Known to be a problem apparently. ( cheap
