ETM issue with 2006 xc 70 model

I think I replaced a sensor I didn't need to replace. I really want a refund from that. Ya'll being previous Volvo owners what are their protocols on this type of misdiagnosis/repairs and refunds. I know they guarantee parts/labor for two years after repairs but this wasn't resolved. I want to have all my ducks in a row before I go back to the dealership or contact VOlvo's hotline.
