Rear Right Door Stuck Closed

Hello,

I have an interesting problem that I hope someone will have some insight on.

The back door on the passenger's side is stuck closed. The lock is in the down position and nothing will allow it to be pulled up. Not through the electronic lock system or by manually pulling it. I can't even get the door open to take the panel off and diagnose the problem.

Any ideas on how to get the door open or why this is happening?

Help is much appreciated.

is anything inside the door making noise? does the inside handle seem like its still grabbing the wire? and it seems very odd the actual plug wont come up by pulling it.

I ask about the door handle because if the child lock is off then the inside handle should be able to unlock it.

If it is still stuck maybe its the weather stripping. I once owned a 97 Passat and the passenger door was stuck closed all summer until my then girlfriend psuhed against it climbing over the center to get out and it made a suction cup noise and came free.
