They are two different part numbers. They might be close in shape, but I don't think that an 850 windshield will work.

thanks, but I still don't know, the dealer wants over $ 700.00 for the front windshield, that's why I would like to know if the 850 works on S 70 ????
(It's much more easy to find a 850 than mine..... )

Look, a windshield is no big deal really. I had one replaced on our old 850 and one on my present S70. Call around to a few independent car garages and ask them who they know that does a good job of installing windshields in your area and who are reasonable. Volvo dealers themselves don't install the windshields...they get a local guy to do them for them and then charge the customer outrageous prices. After you find a reputable glass replacer, make an apointment. If you truly want OEM glass, ask for Pilkington, but you will pay more for it. I find it's not much different than other glass. I believe I have PGA in my S70...total cost was less than $250 to get it done....well my insurance covered most of that. If it's an accident check with your ins. company. Many states have a no-fault full coverage on auto glass!
