So I believe I am getting some weird electrical related error messages, and wanted to share this to see if anyone else has figured it out. Dealer isn't able to diagnose b/c the messages do not persist. First, on a few instances I got the "AWD Disabled" message in the info message panel. No CEL, no codes, just the message. This appears to go away after starting the car a few times. Then I got (one time only) the "BRAKE ASSIST" service required message, and that went away almost immediately. But then I got "ENGINE SYSTEM SERVICE REQUIRED" message, which went away after 1-2 restarts. I've had a few different code readers try to pull codes with no luck. Car appears to be running fine.
Any theories? Just trying to find the best way to diagnose.

Has a Volvo dealer attempted code reading with VIDA?
Those messages should have stored codes in the vehicle.
The generic code readers will not show all codes in the engine computer and almost none anywhere else.

thanks all for the quick response/advice. Have not had a dealer look at it--when I asked the service guy, he said he couldn't pull codes if they were no longer displaying. I'll find another dealer and mention VIDA.
