Can anyone explain why I have had to replace these twice within 30,000 miles? I used OEM parts too ..I don`t undersytand why these aren`t greasable either...

I agree, sounds strange. Usually the genuine Volvo links are good for at least 100K of normal driving.

These have been problematic from the get-go on the '99 and '00 models for some reason. I think it's related to rough roads and the type of harsh shocks you might have on your car too or the shocks are getting worn. Anyway, some have upgraded these for MUCH better results without them dying permaturely like the OEM. I, personally have changed out my OEM links with IPD's and like them. www.ipdusa.com for the Heavey Duty ones...only a few bucks more than the regular ones. Also, a guy by the name of Slater on the volvospeed.com forum makes some that are even beefier. Just my 2cents, but personally I don't think the OEM links are worth a &*^%#(*.

Thanks for the info and web site link I just ordered a set of heavy duty ones from them hopefully that will work
