Polyurethane torque rod bushing for 850
I need to replace the torque rod bushing on my 1994 850 Turbo. I read that the polyurethane bushings are much easier to install but, I can't find one. Can anyone help?

You can't find one?...
EVERYONE sells them
IPD
FCP Groton
Auto stores
You DO realize that you will have a lot more engine vibration at idle?

Thanks for the help and the tip guys. I do realize there will be more vibration. I'm just looking for an easy fix. Not sure how long I'm going to keep this car even though I love it.

Use the freezer tip and you can put in a stock bushing easily.dustinclish wrote:Thanks for the help and the tip guys. I do realize there will be more vibration. I'm just looking for an easy fix. Not sure how long I'm going to keep this car even though I love it.

Thanks for the freezer tip! I am looking forward to trying that out next time (I've replaced the bushing twice, in 2005 and in 2010) on my '97 855 GLT (currently at 151k).
My question is this: while shopping at IPD a couple days ago for H&R wheel spacers, I noticed that the picture of the upper engine torque mount bushing looks different from the kind I've been getting from FCP (see attached image of the Lemforder OEM part available at IPD for $5.08). It has an inset metal mount in the middle. Will this OEM part last longer than the kind I've been getting from FCP (which was either MTC or URO). I noticed also that the Lemforder OEM part is ~$5 and the aftermarket version is ~$8, making OEM the obvious choice.

Thanks for the tips guys. I replaced my bushing with the rubber one from fcp and there is a very noticable difference in how my car runs!

More vibrations; not so fast!!! for those who do not own one.
I beg the differ. I have owned my Poly upper engine mount from IPD since 2004 and no vibs until now (2011). I will be ordering the IPD Poly Firewall bushing Kit and the transmission torque mount kit next month. I have already replaced the front lower engine mount. Next year, will do the rest of the suspension components.
