This stupid antenna!?!?!?!

Post by JavaJiver »

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to free the midsection of my antenna...It just sticks. I have sprayed the crap out of it with lubes from the day I got the car. I have read about it but does anyone have a trick to free it?
No no no...The green wire!

Sounds like time to get a new mast. www.fcpgroton.com They aren't expensive at all and worth the loss in aggravation.

Here's a link to a replacement procedure. What you're describing is a common symptom of the failure of the antenna mast assembly.

Same thing happened to my parents old '95 850. I went over one weekend, replaced the mast and all was good.
