That fuel line cpl is what I will be purchasing as well as the Pressure Pipe part# 9186286. I snapped min when trying to remove my fuel filter. I disconnected the in-flow end, and instaed of disconnecting the out-flow end before pulling the filter out of the bracket I decided to try to muscle it out and snapped the pressure pipe where it connects to the fuel line cpl.
This is it with the pressure pipe connected to the end of the fuel filter.
I think that its a dealer only part because Auto Zone and Pep Boys didnt have it
fuel pressure regulator?

I investigate a little today and i found out that it could indeed be a fpr.In previous posts i wondered where should be a roll-over valve and i found it behind fuel filter(towards the fuel tank)looking from front to the back of the car.waynej wrote:Misha, Regardless of differences in years, models, countries, etc. you posted a picture of your FPR near the fuel filter. It was identical to the FPR in my 96 850. I think you also said you have an extra FPR. If it is a real FPR with 3 connections, hold it next to the thing by your filter, it should be the same.
Waynej....I compared my extra fpr which is on old style fuel rail with what i have on my car at fuel filter area(pic from post #1) and i found out that it's the same,BUT smaller.
Because it's smaller,it's holder(bolt holes) are also smaller and it doesn't match with bolt holes from the extra fpr i have.I'm not actually talking about bolt holes diameter,i'm talking about distance from bolt to bolt.
Bosch number from my extra fpr are 0 280 160 746,it's also stamped 3 bar on it.
I will try to read the numbers from the "thing" i currently have on my car in fuel filter area and i'll report back.
Here are the pics of my extra fpr:

I managed to read the numbers from the "thing" in fuel filter area and here they are:
Bosch # 0 280 160 556
Volvo # 127 18 66
I googled this:
http://seekpart24.com/bosch/control-val ... -280160556
It looks like it's fpr.

How to test fpr to know if it's good or bad?

I've been trying to get that answer for a long time. It's supposed to be 43 psi with key on engine off. 39 psi at idle and increasing fuel pressure as manifold pressure drops and 43 psi fuel pressure as manifold pressure approaches o inches of vacuum. This is to keep an equal pressure differential between fuel pressure on one side of the injector and manifold pressure on the other side.
The problem is that when they moved the FPR to the rear it's operating off the vacuum in the Evap system. I have read other posts that say the purge valve is only open for a few minutes after starting. Also when the purge valve is open there is another valve open that lets air into to the canister to carry the fuel from the charcoal into the manifold. This valve bleeds in enough air to destroy the vacuum in the rest of the system. I have checked it with a vacuum gauge at the FPR.
So it sounds like they have connected a vacuum actuated device to nonresistant vacuum. I hope this is wrong and someone has a better explanation.

I know it's operating with evaporator system, but i meant how to test it when it's removed from the car.
I think i read Lee's or MiJ's explanation a long time ago about how to test fpr,but i can't find it.
Hopefully they will see this post and get us the answer.

To test it off the car you will need a vacuum pump and a fuel pump. I tried testing it on the car by taping a fuel pressure gauge and a vacuum gauge to the windshield and driving. It was always at 43 PSI. I had a 93 and my sons have 94's all with the FPR on the rail and connected directly to manifold vacuum and they work as they should.
