Welcome to the forum!!
A little more info may help us to find out what is wrong.
How old is the oil? What type of oil are you using? Has it had a history of regular changes?
Have the sump O ring seals ever been replaced?
It sounds very much like sticking lifters or insufficient oil pressure to them.

l change the oil every three months. l use castrol 10-30 but recently switched to mobil 1 10-30. l looked at the cars history on car fax and was excellent.no issues. and l have noo clue if the oring seals where replaced. l want to try using ATF and draining it and see if it works. l guess its sticky lifters because the car has been sitting for too long because l got the car with low miles on it.it was 92000 miles

What I could gather is that Slim purchased the car about a year ago with NO SERVICE history. Since then he as put about 10,000 miles on it changing the oil every 3 months. The car has been ticking since he got it from a dealer.
The car history report may have yearly mileage history data on it so you can tell if it sat for 3 years, maybe only 2,000 was put on the car between 2007 and 2010. That would be the best and really only way to tell if the car had been parked somewhere.

I would try either a Seafoam treatment in the oil and intake manifold, or try this method I suggested to someone the other day.
Your oil passages in the head are probably clogged up and starving the lifters (or one/two in particular) of oil flow.
I'm too lazy to type it all out again, so here's the post.

i had same problem be4 u start your car preferably on a cold day remove the cap and look. it will look like its empty!. i had to add more oil until my dipstick said full. and wahhlahh the noise i been listening for 8 months went away. i just didn't have enough oil in it. just make sure your dipstick full don't let it fall below full. it worked for me so hopefully it will you. just piston slap and not enough oil reaching when its cold cause the oil needs to heat up and if there isn't enough it wont make it up there to lubricate until it warms up./// o wait you said when it gets warm it makes that noise i am sorry i thought you meant when its cold lol. Doesn't sound good lol
Many times this can be remedied by replacing the o-rings in the Oil pan. If that doesn't work, you may have a collapsed lifter in need of replacement. Looks like it is probably in cyl 3,4 or 5 from the video.

What kind of oil filters do you use?slimflex2 wrote:l change the oil every three months. l use castrol 10-30 but recently switched to mobil 1 10-30. l looked at the cars history on car fax and was excellent.no issues. and l have noo clue if the oring seals where replaced. l want to try using ATF and draining it and see if it works. l guess its sticky lifters because the car has been sitting for too long because l got the car with low miles on it.it was 92000 miles
Most oil filters have no check valve or a very poor check valve. Mann filters always work as should Meyle (same difference) and I think others have said the K&N filters and Napa Gold filters work OK but I have never used them. I just buy the Mann filters by the case along with an equal number of aluminum crush rings for the drain plug.
When I bought my first 850 I immediately started stage zero maintenance and it was quite a learning experience. I bought a Fram oil filter and changed the oil and some Bosch Platinum II plus spark plugs. The car would barely run and it had horrible lifter noise on startup.
That is when I found this site and learned the error of my ways.
