It looks S/V70 has a different CPS configuration, (#10 in both pics):
For S/V70 For 850 You still need to take the cover off then unplug the sensor.
BTW, the part you got is 9202134 right?

I want to thank everyone, and yep that is exactly the same part which confuses me because I was calling it a cam pos sensor and was to it was a crank pos in a previous posting.. Anyway, I am currently waiting in a garage for it to be finished. Again, thank you to all that wanted to help. God bless
Old post, but I think the answer is incorrect. I believe the original poster is correct that #10 is the cam position sensor. Sensor labeled #11 in the diagrams is the crankshaft position sensor. I just got back from the dealer parts counter where I checked their diagram and purchased the CPS for my XC70. My symptoms are the car intermittently cuts out while running. It "feels" like an ignition issue as it is very sudden and will correct itself. If at idle it will stall, but start back up immediately. I had a similar failure in an old '95 940 that was the same part.
Well, my problem was not fixed by the crankshaft position sensor. I found that the vehicle will run with the camshaft position sensor unplugged. After unplugging the "cutting out" did not appear. I am thinking that my camshaft sensor may have completely failed and is giving an intermittent erroneous signal that is causing the "cutting out" or stalling.

This post suggests VDO is the OE:

I just bought a VDO (Continental) crankshaft sensor from FCP, who list it as OE, and there is a spot on the insulation about halfway down the cable that has been abraded away by hand. This is sometimes a sign that a part was originally branded with a car maker's brand name and is being sold on the aftermarket at a discount to the dealer price.
