OK, I'll ask again. What's the best choice in a 3" downpipe for my 98 V70R?
My criteria are fit, durability, and cost. Performance is a consideration only, but i'll assume that any can provide acceptable improvements.
My original is shot and barely holding together after 195k.
AWD 3"Downpipe?
I had no luck finding an affordable 3" downpipe, so I went with a used (60k miles) stock downpipe from Erie. Less than half the price of the least expensive 3" new one I could find.
AMAZING! That old cat must have been pretty restrictive. There's gobs more power, and better mpg. The gas mileage appears to be about 3 mpg better, but I've gotta get 1000 miles on it to see how it does compared to the old average of 19.2 combined.
