S80: Please recommend a ODB2 Scanner

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Hi There,
I bought mine at Harbor Freight Tools. I think it cost me $49.00. Works great.

The Autel MS 509 works great with my 2000 V70 2.4l 5 cylinder but cannot read or reset SRS codes.

There is another model that Autel offer which can do this and I'm sure someone will chime in on this thread....Matty Moo??

It's the eu702. A little pricey at around $200 but its more versatile and easily updatable to use on any make of car.

Mine is 6 cylinder non-turbo. I have used my scanner successfully on my 2001 S40. I don't know why it wouldn't work on the S80 also.

Get the bsr scanner, it's the best and can read transmission codes too

I looked at BSR web-site, and the scanner is fully compatible with my car.
However it is very much beyond my budget , 551€ plus about 25-30% tax here..some $900-$1,000.. :(
thanks anyway for the answer.

BSR had the PPC 2 Diagnostic scanner for sale a while back but I sent them an email and it is no longer available. It was much cheaper and the one which I was fortunate enough to buy. You might find one on ebay? The big advantage is that it can reset all the DTC even the SRS (air bag) error.
