Hi Guys,
My aftermarket pioneer speaker(left side front) only kicks in once the volume is up loud enough. It also stops working if I hit a bump. I have checked the wiring on the back and its all on tight. Any other spots I should be checking or looking for new speakers?
Thanks

Not sure. It could be a couple things:
You could have a very weak connection (loose, broken, etc) and you have to send a lot of power there for a signal to get through or you could have a faulty amplifier circuit on that channel or you could have a faulty speaker with a damaged voice coil, etc.
The bumping symptoms could also be attributed to those same causes, so nothing is conclusive yet.
I would suggest some tests first, to determine whats wrong.
If you have a spare speaker, connect it and see if it works. If not, swap your right and left front door speakers. This will identify for you if its the speaker or not.
Do you have the stock external amplifier or just the stock head unit?
If I had to guess, I would guess first a bad speaker, then a loose connection or bad wire, then a bad amplifier channel, then a bad head unit channel.

Thanks Fazool,
Flopped the speakers from left to right and still happens so I popped out my HU to check the wires behind there and I think i found the problem it is a faulty line output converter, going to head to future shop tonight and pick one up and put that in to see if I am right. Hopefully I am right and just for some more info
Running panisonic HU with BlueTooth adapter
2 5 1/2 inch speakers up front
stock speakers in the rear
2 amps one powering speakers

Ahhh, that makes sense - good luck.
Connectors are cheaper than speakers so it sounds like you might make out OK
