what is this hose for?

A mid-size luxury crossover SUV, the Volvo XC90 made its debut in 2002 at the Detroit Motor Show. Recognized for its safety, practicality, and comfort, the XC90 is a popular vehicle around the world. The XC90 proved to be very popular, and very good for Volvo's sales numbers, since its introduction in model year 2003 (North America). P2 platform.

what is this hose for?

The small hose that connects to the middle top of the intake manifold.what is the purpose of this hose? is it related to the pcv? Its on a 04 xc90 2.5t.

And is the PCV similar to the 99+ V70s with the banjo fitting behind the alternator?

No, it is not.

Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.

Here is the photo from IPD USA. I dont see any hose that would go there. Any help? Thanks.

It is much better than what is in VADIS :D

Sorry for the confusion; the tube marked on your picture appears to be either the evap hose or a fuel line, not a PCV component
