Heat 1/2 working, cold air at face, hot at feet...
I believe I read about this somewhere but can't find it now. My '95 850 with ECC is blowing cool air in my face and hot on my feet. What causes this? Yesterday was the firts real cold day (23 degrees F) and it kinda sucked.

Would you happen to know if all the dash vents are blowing cold air, or just the center ones?
Look to the left of your center dash vents at the dial for "Air Mix". Make sure that it is rolled to the up position, otherwise you will get cold air in while driving around even with the heat on.
Otherwise, it sounds like you've got a door or two that isn't working properly.

I'll double check that mix vent dial. I never knew what that was for.
Today I felt less air flow and warm air. Maybe I closed that vent by accident.

Yep, air mix is now closed and all air is warm.
I guess I need to count my blessings, 200,000 miles and only need a lower control arm.
