NEW ON FORMUM AND QUESTION

Post by jomoto1 »

Greetings to you all.

I just bought an xc70 2002 with 3,600 Mi, after long hesitation and reading of all kind of favor or against opinions. Finally I have it and I love what I have seen 'till now. Just a question.....When I drive and brake to get to a crossing or a red light for example, the car geras down from 2 to 1 with a clunk noice, not too loud for enough to be clearly heard.... I had never drove a Volvo before and wonder if this is normal..... the rest feels and handles just nice....any comments?

Thanks in advance

Only 3600 miles? I know that there is a transmission software upgrade. You should still be under warranty. Take it to the dealer and tell them it's going "clunk." They should be able to fix that on their dime.

Early car and you may have the stop neutral feature.
Discontinued early on this was a problem in 01's (and a few early 02's) Ask the dealer to check if it's there and remove (software) the stop neutral feature in your transmission.
You'll thank me
