Post by melizzuh »

Hey guys I am sharing a picture with you of my car before I took it to the mechanic I had gotten it back and this hose is missing, I need to get it replaced, and find out where it goes, and whats connected to where it is supposed to go and whats connected there right now, because I cant find any openings on the motor where it could go? Please help out! Thanks guys!

By the way its an '89 volvo 760 2.3, w/ stock Garret TB03.

It goes under the intake manifold. Almost directly under the #3 runner. Hose will pass between #2 and #3 directly inline with throttle housing. There is a fitting that is shaped like a "Y" with a large fitting going down to crankcase breather box and a small nipple with a vacuum line and another large nipple the inner hose of the one highlighted goes on. There should be a roughly 1/2 inch inner hose inside the outer foamy rubber insulating hose from turbo inlet tube.
It is the crankcase venting hose.

Thank you! I got the manual on pdf, and found it yesterday, its next to the hose coming from the heat valve right? I couldnt tell before because the hose was cut and hidden up against the bottom of the intake manifold so I went to autozone and hooked it back up! still have 2 more cut hoeses for figure out, and one cut hose that plugged up with a bolt. :/
and a blue socket fuze thing, not sure what its called, but it isnt hooked up to anything, and its under the intake manifold, I found it loose and hanging out when I was looking for where that hose went, its one puzzle after another:/

My only thing though is it didnt relate to the image like I am seeing in the manual, the hose fit, and the outlet nipple thing was exactly the same as the one on the hose coming from the intercooler/turbo, but it didnt have another nipple or hose thing coming from it, it looks like there is something else supposed to be connected to it? What would that be? And why does mine not have it ?
