The exhaust manifolds as some already know have a rather smaller mounting area, if possible the center housing of the TD04 bolts to the TD03 Turbine housing then VOILA! we have a winner, BUT!! thats not the issue here, we are looking at wirewall clearance, downpipe design, catalytic lenght, and of course how it will perform on a stock ECU.
A few years back i had mated a garrett T3 off my Nissan 300zx with a T04E compressor housing. It worked well , however it was over boosting and causing boost creep! , not to mention the integral wastegate was only good for 7 psig, so i designed my own regulator from a 300 psi regulator valve and i got about 22 psi, and a steady 14psi on the fly.
I think thorughout the years of working on turbo cars and what not, i dont have a doubt that the T6 setup can produce well over 350WHP, but can the newly performance upgraded transmission be able to put it to the floor? I guess we shall find out. If i had extra $$$$$$$$ to play with i wouldnt worry and i would have 2 extra transmission and motors sitting as my backup , but i dont have this luxury YET
