1993 850 removing oil pan

Post by brenthymer »

i have an oil leak that looks like it's coming from the oil pan. the manual indicates i have to remove the engine from the car to remove the oil pan, is that correct? while underneath the car, it looks like I can just remove the pan, does someone know something i don't and, if so, are there any ideas on how to remove the pan without removing the engine?

IIRC, the problem is that the power steering lines are in the way. If you can remove these, you should be able to access the pan w/ no problems.
