98 V70XC spark plug wires

I just installed aftermarket ignition components two weeks ago and it seems to be running ok. Maybe a little sluggish. Is it just in my head or is it a real symptom. I'm reading on the forum that it's important to use at least Volvo wires. Can anybody tell me why this is? I'm not sure whether or not to keep the aftermarket or go with Volvo. The wires I have cost me $52 and the Volvo set is $152!! Big difference and my wallet is starting to dry out. Does it matter?

I have personally never had good luck with aftermarket wire sets. My son bought a set of NAPA wires that seem to be doing OK but I just always buy the Bougicord (OEM Manufacturer) wires and then forget about them for another 100k miles.

I bought a set of wires from Advance Auto Parts and my '94 would barely run. I then bought a set of Bosch wires and it ran a bit better but still not right. With the Bougicords it runs like a top.

The last set of Bougicords I bought were around $50.00 but I see the price has jumped to around $75.00.

I just put a set of Belden wires in that I picked up from NAPA.
Shiny blue "High Performance" - That was about a month ago.
So far, so good!

Lee, where can you get those Bougicords? I'll pick them up if they are only $75. Better than $155 at the dealer!
