Power locks not working consistently

Post by TipTopTommyT »

Sometimes - but not always - the door locks do not operate remotely. I could be wrong about the pattern but it seems that when the weather is especially hot, the operation fails. Although I did not have any issues last summer.

What do you think?

The motor in the latch assemblies are bad. There is a temperature protection circuit that has gone bad and stopping the motor from working strong enough to operate the locks. You can replace the latches with never ones or take the locks apart, then the motors apart and pull the chip and replace it with a solid piece of copper or something to carry the current.
