Shouldn't he have a quick look at the PCV system too? Won't that blow these seals?

Great advice; cam seals usually don't blow out without a reason!

Have a look for the early symptoms:

Eeeehhhh! The cam seals wont blow again any time soon. The RMS will go long before the cams seals do again.

The cam seals are the weakest points. I blew 2 (same one) in a relatively short time frame. Then the timing belt side ones go. Those are a pain...

Thanks to everyone with the oil leak help,I whats the easiest test to see if I have a plugged pcv,I only have a little smoke from the Dipstick,no smell inside car and no smoke from tailpipe and should I continue using synthetic oil and do the Seafoam cleaning like they recommend, car has 170K.

Take your oil cap off and just sit it on top and start your engine- does it suck in or float up? This is a good test. My experience is that if the PCV is clogged, no amount of synthetic oil use or seafoam is going to clear it out- it's usually the hows that connects from the bottom of the intake (accordion) hose.... Certainly try the seafoam first though.

So with the oil cap test if it floats the the pcv might be clogged I hear someone say put a ballon on the dipstick tube and see if it inflates it,Now if it inflates it should it inflate quickly or just a little will it mean also that it's clogged or getting there soon.
