Outer Tie Rod Left Side ( Driver)

Help
I cant for the life of me get the Outer Tied Rod end ( Driver Side) off of my 1998 V70. I have tried heat,tons of PB blaster. Is the budge nut a left loosey, right tighty. I have been attempting to move the nut clockwise. Not giving at all. I am worried I am going to snap the Inner Tie Rod.

Any recomendations would be appreciated.

I had the same problem. I was not comfortable using a torch to heat the nut
red hot to break the rust. So I used a nut splitter to remove it. But then I
had to get an alignment anyway.

It is a right hand thread.

My advice - take it to an alignment shop, they deal with frozen tie rod nuts
every day. If you are replacing the outer tie rod you need an alignment
anyway.

Please bear with me folks, have I been trying to loosen the jamb nut turning the wrong way.?
I have been turning clockwise. Should I be turning counter clockwise. Matt tell me it's a right-hand thread.
Am I just being an idiot again. Should I be turning counter clockwise?

I replaced both outer tie rods yesterday. Both sides are standard thread. Clockwise to loosen if your looking at the jamb nut from the wheel well. Are you putting a 13mm wrench on the inner tie rod to hold so it doesn't put stress on the it. I was concerned about that also. One of mine was pretty stuck. I was able to wedge the 13mm wrench against the control arm. I put the 18mm wrench on the jamb not. Got a small sledge hammer and smacked the 18mm pretty hard until it came loose. I would heat the nut a little then try the sledge or any other BFH
