S80 stalls on warm up
So as the title says, the S80 stalls on warm up. I have a 1999 S80 non turbo with 193k miles. I literally JUST did the TPS mod from a kit. It ran wonderfully. So much better than it used to for about 30 miles, but I was on my way to Augusta Ga, and didn't get 10 miles away from my house before the car just shut off. I have had problems like this before, not this bad and it was years ago. I was going into the car wash, the car shuts off at idle. I get out of the car wash, have to hit my break and gas at the same time, pull the car across the street and it will start like butter, but as soon as the revs go down, they just cut off. No rough idling, no codes, no nothing. Just won't stay on. Tow truck got me, took me home, started the car up and rode it off the truck, no problem. I assume when it's warm it wont stay on, but I am not gonna drive it around to find out. I didn't have to reflash the ETM because it's my original, just a different TPS, and before I started the car let it stay at accessories for 40 seconds to adjust to the TPS. From what I'm reading, some are saying it could be the camshaft position sensor? Please help, I'll get kicked out of the fire academy if I can't get there.

Bump: still haven't figured it out. It starts up just fine, every time. I'm afraid to drive it. Since I just did the TPS fix with the magnetic one, could I have had to unplug the battery for a period of time to reset the system and the computer get used to it? Could this be why it was cutting off at idle? Or does it sound like an intermittently bad camshaft sensor.. It did this a few years ago when I was driving and only cut off once. Then again a little bit after. But never continually shut off. Please help.

Ummmmmm, still? No response? Now it won't even start. I cleaned my MAF, and my ETM (remember this is after my tips replacement with the Sacer one and followed directions to the T) and it won't even start. Clogged PCV charcoal box?

The instructions supplied with my repaired ETM said to sit with ignition on for 15 minutes BEFORE starting the engine, I would try this as a first step as 40 seconds isn't long enough for the new idle resistance value to be read - Mike

All I can think of is that its probably not related to the ETM. I think its unlikely to cause issues of that nature without throwing some sort of code. Fuel relay on the fritz?

I can check the fuel relay... From what I was reading that may be a possibility. Where is my fuel relay? With all the fuses in the engine bay? And I'll let the etm read for 15 mins and let yall know what happens. Thank you so much for the input!

Another possibility is a bad ECT sensor or a wiring fault:
If the ECT sensor is not 'telling' the comp that the engine is already warm, then the AFR may stay too far on the rich side and cause a warm engine to stall.

Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.
