Removing Anerobic Sealant to Replace Cam Cover - Tips?

I used a bunch of fresh Exacto razor blades and a big bucket of elbow grease. Not a shaving blade, as they have too much flex.

Oh, and word to the wise; don't use a sealant that is clear. It's very difficult to tell when you've removed it all!

Please do not go there and use the final torque spec. for the cam cover bolts. It is wrongly stated at 15 inch lbs. which results in a seriously loose cam cover. The proper torque spec. per Vadis is 17 Newton Meters which works out to somewhere in teh vicinity of 13 ft. lbs. -- no inch pounds involved.

Well, I actually didn't torque mine down, I read a few places and was told by a Volvo tech that it was 15 in lbs. I snug mine down and did a 1/4 turn and left it at that, no leaks.

I'll look it up and correct my instructions if I find them wrong. Small bolts.
