I need to replace the auxiliary/serpentine belt on a 2006 XC90 turbo. What do you use for swinging the belt tensioner? I was expecting a nut on the front of the wheel. I read something about a 90 degree torx 60? Any help would be appreciated.

I use a t60 torx socket with a set of vice grips clamped on it. Then a piece of 1/2" pvc pipe placed over the adjustment knob on the vice grips that extends above the fender well(a 12" long piece) to give me space to rotate the tensioner. It's a real pain in the ***. I'm sure volvo sells something for $100.
If you haven't already done the job...
On my 850 which I think is the same set up I just got a nut an short bolt (the threading is about the same size as the nut) and dremmeled flat the nut on one side to fit into the square opening. Then you just use a socket or wrench and pull it to the loose side...
