Sorry for taking so long, could you point me to the diagram that you are using?
Thanks

The 1996 850 Diagram set in the repair database. Its page 6 of the PDF. My Haynes shows a deadlock relay on the point to point diangram. Also There is a diagram for 2 stage central locking for 4 door which is page 73 on the PDF

Oh dang is that a relay IN THE DRIVERS DOOR I see on the diagram??? hmmm I think a picture of the problem may be developing in my little pea brain....The component list in the volve wiring diagram identifies the second relay on the point to point diagram as "Driver Door 2 stage locking relay" ooooooo it makes me made when I miss things like that...I could just SPIT!

Chris,
That is probably what I was trying to call 'a Door CTRL Module' awhile ago (I guess I was a little bit 'too hasty', no?)
I am positive you will solve this puzzle before I do - you have the advantage of having access to both: the schematic and the car at the same time and location
Thanks

I don't know where you're seeing a relay in the door. Do you mean 2/105 ( relay 202) ? That's under the hood.Madhelpermonkey wrote:Oh dang is that a relay IN THE DRIVERS DOOR I see on the diagram??? hmmm I think a picture of the problem may be developing in my little pea brain....The component list in the volve wiring diagram identifies the second relay on the point to point diagram as "Driver Door 2 stage locking relay" ooooooo it makes me made when I miss things like that...I could just SPIT!
And I agree that if the "ALL OPEN" gets the driver's, then to me, that kinda points to the central locking unit.
I take a crack at swapping it with a known good. Go for the easy stuff first.
