I have a P/N, does anyone have the size?

Finishing up with this rack replacement and ran into another SNAFU.

I got the old rack out and realized that I needed to get the Tie Rod Nuts off (part number 985880). I cannot get these things off for anything. I finally got the DS to move enough to see under it and it looks red, not a rust red, but red. Loctite maybe? Anyways, I was going to just pick up two new ones and cannot find the size anywhere. I called eeuroparts to find out if they forgot to ship them with my new rack and they said that they just stopped including them. All the shops I called said that they have a part number just no size. I Googled the heck out of this and got nothing.

Before I get the suggestions to go out and measure them, they were fairly rounded of (used car) and I just want to be very certain on the right size so I can finally finish this job out.

I measured my 94. It has a 14 mm x 2.0 hex nut on the steering rack. The part number you provided is claimed to work with mine, so yours should be the same.

I finally went to O'reilly's and talked to the guy there he was telling me that although he couldn't give me a size on it, the threads are a "m14". He explained it so as to make me believe that the threads are engineered in a manner as to keep them from loosening very easily to prevent the alignment from going out.

I finally got them off using a product I haven't used before made by CRC called Freeze Off. Absolutely wonderful product, well worth the $6. I tried a torch, brake cleaner, wd40, PB blaster, finally this stuff. I still think I ruptured something in my side, would have loved to have a vise, but this made it so much easier.

I think I will still see if the dealer has these two nuts tomorrow because they were kind of tight going on the new steering rack and I saw metal shavings come out when I took it loose.
