Hi all, I was driving my 2003 v70 t5 and noticed the oil light coming on around corners,I pulled into a service station and found oil literally spewing from the coolant reservoir. The car is running perfectly with no issues. Has any body had this problem. Surely if it was cylinder head I would have water in oil not vise versa. And why did it loose its engine oil so suddenly.
Cheers.

First order of business is to run a compression test. This will let you know if its the head gasket or oil cooler.

"Spewing out", I'm thinking head gasket, but I hope I'm wrong.

Thanks for the help gents. It was the oil cooler on the back of the sump. Volvo only wants $710.00 for one, guess I look on ebay.
