good topic - I see.

lots of good info here,

I am less than 2 minutes from the highway...

My place has a security guard, no trespassers, and when it is cold no one is out anyways, there are at least 30 different apartment windows facing the parking lot and is well lighted, but no plug ins.

If someone wanted to smash my window while it was running and take it, then they would probably need the car more than I did, you never know who is watching you when you are out there on the parking lot.

I never heard of the Turbo Timer, and for my situation I am sure that most would agree that it does sound like the way to go~

Thanks for everyones input, I am sure that it will help many others!

I know this may sound strange, but when I lived in MN we ran long electrical extension cords out our windows (from 2nd stories over to tree branches) and down to the cars to plug in a heater. Had a VW rabbit then.
Mind you this was in "77. don't know about now, however.

Not strange at all, "now a days" that would be a set up for someone to sue you,

but if I lived in MN.... I would have to do that, cause there it is cold!
