Hey guys, I picked up a 98 Volvo s70 t5. it was in an accident and the previous owner replaced the left front knuckle with I guess a newer knuckle and he spliced in a p2 abs sensor. I checked the volts coming out and my results showed that the left front was bad. can I get another p2 abs sensor and splice it in or can I drill my knuckle to get the original style abs sensor to fit?

Get the right knuckle and sensor and do it right if you plan on keeping it. Or if the actual connector is the same and the resistance is the same you could get another "p2" sensor. Personally I wouldn't splice an ABS sensor.

Of the choices given, splicing wire I much safer than drilling a heavily loaded suspension part IMHO.

You can splice and heat shrink, and even treat your splice with one of the liquid rubber compounds to keep water out.

You have to have a sensor from a 96-98, otherwise it won't work.

Well who ever had the car before me spliced in a p2 sensor but after my diag the volts were way off from the others. Do the P2 sensors work with my system that I have now if I spliced a new one in?

Ok, so I found a knuckle for cheap and I have the right abs sensor. Does anyone know where I can get the plug in and about 10" of wire with it??. Ive check the salvage yards around me but no dice on any Volvos they only had 99 and newer.
