oil level, 07 xc90 3.2 awd
I purchased this car from a ford dealership a couple months ago now. They had an oil change reminder on the windshield stating they had changed the oil, when I checked the oil it read overfull by approx. 1/8th of an inch sitting in my mostly level driveway. After 3400 miles it never moved, now I just changed the oil and filter myself adding 7.75 quarts started it up checked for leaks etc. now the level on the dipstick is still below the crosshatch. I am a heavy duty truck mechanic , done a few oil changes in my time. I thought the dealer had put in 8 and called it good, but now I don't know what is going on. drove around for a short bit and rechecked twice on LEVEL ground. By the manual I'm almost a quart short. Yes I recounted the bottles over and over. Anybody ran across this before? did a search but to no luck. THANK YOU
