17" Rims / Tires just installed, some pictures for ya

Just thought I would share some pictures of my new rims/tires. They are Sport Edition F6 17" rims on 205/45/R17 's. Got them off of Tirerack.com shipped to my door for 900 bucks.

so far not too bad at all.. doesnt absorb the bumps as good as the previous 15's but its not much different. it hugs the road and corners a LOT better. I hope it does good in the snow... I'm sure I'll find out soon. Oh and the tires are 205/45ZR-17 Avon Tech M550 A/S

hehehe.. actually those were taken on my camera phone (samsung A990). It is very sensitive to shaking so if your not very steady then it gets blurry.. especially if its dark. Usually it takes alot better pictures but I was in a hurry when I took those. I can get better pics real soon.

Very nice rims

I guess there's a bit of give and take in upgrading to low profile, high performance tires.

In my opinion, PDAs, Cameras, Phone, and MP3 players should have never been integrated into one device.

My 2 megapixel Sony Ericsson without autofocus takes lousy pictures only acceptible on-screen, it looks very grainy on computer.

I know what you mean. I've got the RAZR and the camera on it sucks... It's nice to have but the pictures aren't very good. I tryed taking pics at a concert... No good. lol I'm hoping to get my own digital camera soon. Most likely going with a canon.

My job is to try to keep things on topic....so...well, hint, hint.

Really though the wheels look nice. Any wheel that opens things up to where you can see the brakes better is nice. Next step is to paint your calipers!

Right on, if you're going to drive a 10-year old Volvo, please do away from the steel wheels with plastic covers

Aluminum Alloy multi-spoke rims are the way to go!

But on a practical side though, I hear bad things about (short) threadwear life and water-displacing performance about these low profile tires. While high-profle tires may have a bouncier/cushier ride at the expense of handling, they also bear the vertical stress of the weight of the car; the higher profile they are, the more weight they can bear.

Anyways I'll stop here to risk initiating a heated debate about performance tires.

Do be sure they are properly inflated though, the pressure requirements will be different from the label...
