How old is the gas? I've had boats do the same thing when I try to revive them after they haven't run in a couple of years. Dumping in some fresh gas usually helped.

At idle the turbo really isn't doing anything anyway so unless it is making bad noises it is likely OK.

the car was just about empty and i put fresh gas in it about 5 gallons before i started it. I didnt want to run out of gas while warming up the car and checking the fluids.

Unplug the MAF sensor and see if it will run.

If it does, one of the gaskets didn't seal properly, or an air hose is unattached.

That is just a heater. But yes, there should be an electrical plug for it somewhere in that vicinity.

So i figured out why everything was happening..... the vapors in the crank case blew out a seal because the pcv system wasn't working...... lesson learned i suppose thank you everyone for your posts!
